Updates from Fr Eric SJ
Just yesterday our PUC girls won the volley ball tournament at the district level and have qualified themselves to compete at the State level. This is the first College batch that has shown its talents in co-curricular activities. It is a great pride for them that villages from Pannur and surrounding corners are getting focused at the State level.

It is quite some time now since we wrote to you. We have already started building houses to the flood stricken people of Pannur Mission and by the end of December 2010 we hope to complete the first phase of houses. People are so happy to see their houses taking shape and they themselves are involved in contributing their share of labour.
Our PUC building is under construction. The ground floor is nearly completed. We hope to use this part of the building for the PUC from June 2011.
Pannur Medical Centre is running well. Four Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes are at the service of our people and a number of people are visiting this centre and availing themselves of kind services from our Sisters. Our children in Manvi are doing well and enjoying their studies.
All are preparing for the birthday of Fr. Maxim which will be held on the 2 of November 2010. The children will present a programme on his 78 B’day.

Fr Eric Mathias SJ will be leaving Pannur Mission in June 2012 to take on another post. His vision and energy have been instrumental in the success of the mission. He has been a generous host and an inspirationto those who have visited Pannur and Manvi. We will miss him greatly and I'm sure many of you will want to wish him well in whatever role he is asked to take on next.
